Duluth News-Tribune (MN) - January 2, 2000 Deceased Name: CARTER F. JOHNSON, DDS Carter F. Johnson, DDS, 58, of Duluth died Monday, Dec. 27, 1999. He was a 1959 graduate of Duluth Central High School, he went on to earn a bachelor of science degree in chemistry at the University of Minnesota-Duluth in 1963 and his DDS at the University of Minnesota Dental School in 1967. He dedicated his life to the pursuit of excellence in dental care. In 1985, he began studies at the Pankey Institute in Florida and the Frymann College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he received certification as a cranial osteopath. He achieved fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry and later, their prestigious Mastership award. He was president of the Minnesota Academy of Gnathological Research in 1992 and elected to membership in the American Equilibration Society that same year. Carter was preceded in death by his parents, Russell Mentor and Marian Noel McCarter; and his daughter, Paige Yvonne. He will be sadly missed by his spouse, Cheryl; daughters Kelsey Amalie, Ariel Raina and Jody Lyn; a sister, Mary Decker and a brother, Russell Ray, both of Duluth; along with many wonderful nieces and nephews. All faiths celebration of his life: 2 p.m. Jan. 9 in Temple Israel Synagogue. Please direct gifts to the Carter F.
